Hear The New Pornographers New Album, 'Together,' In Full

The New Pornographers have prepared another album full of catchy, pop tunes, and up until its release date on May 4th, you can hear the album, in its entirety over at NPR's First Listen. The new record, Together, is the 5th album from Carl Newman, Dan Bejar, Neko Case and co.

Accept Credit Cards At Your Bands Shows

Have an iPhone or an iPad? A new app called Square lets you easily accept credit card payments at your shows. You can either key in card numbers, or swipe cards with a free card reader that attaches to your iPhone's headphone jack. There are no merchant fees, contracts, or minimums. The only cost is a 2.75% + .15 cents per swiped transaction and 3.5% + .15 cents for keyed transactions.

Supergrass Calling It Quits

According to NME, Supergrass have decided to split after 17 years. The group had been working on a new record, but instead will go their separate ways following a handful of festival dates this June in England and France.

"We still love each other but, cliché notwithstanding, musical differences have led to us moving on and of course we all wish each other well in the future," the band said in a statement.

She & Him Live On WNYC Soundcheck

She & Him released their second effort, Volume Two, last week and today they stopped by WNYC's Soundcheck for an interview and to play a couple of songs.

Roky Erikson New Album, Tour Dates

Roky Erikson will release his first album of new material in 14 years on April 20th. On True Love Cast Out All Evil, Erikson is backed by fellow Texans Will Sheff and Okkervil River, who will also be performing with the former 13th Floor Elevators front man on a handful of dates in April and May.

Sheff, who also produced the new record, was given over 60 unreleased songs to choose from and narrowed down the album to 12 tracks, while incorporating found-sound and archival recordings from Erikson's home videos and recordings made during the singer's time at Rusk State Hospital for the Criminally Insane.
